Thônex, Town Hall extension
Earthworks - Pipes and drains - Kerbs and paths - Rounded concrete walls - Green parking lots - Semi-extensive flowered roofs - Street furniture - Trees - Shrubs and perennials - Flowered meadows - Maintenance
Completed in 2022, the extension project is a model of landscape integration. Atelier 109 was responsible for supervising the landscaping work. The planted parking lot truly "dilutes" into the meadows, where rainwater is discreetly collected. The entrance to the town hall extension, in Japanese style, is calm and uncluttered, to create a gentle atmosphere for the staff who work there. The one-storey extension, built at the head of the old building, maintains views towards the Salève, magnified by a superb flower-filled roof.
