It's a densely planted "inhabited park", teeming with wild and country species. The project offers a large mosaic of different, interconnected biological environments. As part of the WWF and SEAD certification process for diversity, and benefiting from stringent environmental monitoring, the park has been designed to enhance the quality of life together. This approach to high environmental and landscape quality is unique in Geneva.
A cultivation contract was signed with Pépinières Genevoises for this project.
Communal spaces are open and bright, contrasting with the singular ambiance of the islands, imagined as an undergrowth.
Water management is aerial. It adds dynamics to grasslands by increasing the potential for floral diversity.
and animal.
The project is a model application of sponge city principles. It has been designed to discharge only 5l/s/ha at the time of a storm.
The proposed facilities and street furniture will promote social interaction, social comfort and generational diversity.
Play, sport and gardening provide fertile ground for living together. The forecourt will be the interface between nature and the city. Its concept is inspired by the duality of mineral and vegetation on the walls of the nearby Salève mountain.
Halfway between a habitat and a refuge for biodiversity, Parc des Crêts will provide a peaceful, harmonious setting for the marriage of man and nature.
